Teaching Why Are Some People More Gullible Than Others?

Why Are Some People More Gullible Than Others?

Humans are naturally a gullible species.  We owe our evolutionary success to culture and our unique ability to receive, trust, and act on stories we get from others. This allows us to build a shared view about the world. We can learn that fires burn us without having to experience it ourselves. We know that we cannot fly without jumping from a tall tree and falling. Humans have gathered this information over time. We trust this information.
