Lesson 27: What Are Bills of Rights & What Kinds of Rights Does the U.S. Bill of Rights Protect?

Bills of rights are written documents that outline the rights of the people that are not to be violated by their government. This lesson provides a foundation for examining many of the rights contained in the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and subsequent amendments to the Constitution. It also examines four provisions of the Bill of Rights that usually do not receive as much attention as others: the Second, Third, Ninth, and Tenth Amendments.\n
