Teaching Introduction to the Renaissance

Introduction to the Renaissance

Renaissance is a French word which means “rebirth.” It is used to describe a period of time from the 14th to the 17th centuries in Europe. During this time, there was a rebirth of interest in the ancient cultures of Greece and Rome. People realized that those ancient civilizations had accomplished amazing things in the areas of science, philosophy, and mathematics. They began to apply that ancient knowledge to their own time.
